Creating a color model from an existing level

You can take a drawing from an existing level and use it to create a color model. To do this:

  1. Start the InkPaint application and open the level you want to use.
  1. In the Level Browser window, click on the drawing you want to use as a color model.
  1. Choose Drawings > New Model using Drawing.
  1. Type a name for the new model in the dialog box that is displayed.
  1. Click OK.

If the drawing you converted into a color model was painted with a single palette, the mapping of palette to the regions is retained in the color model. However, the colors themselves are not retained; instead grays are substituted. This allows you to choose new colors for the model, but without having to place them in the regions of the character. Any colors in the palette which were not used are discarded when you convert the drawing into a color model.
